One year ago I didn’t know what a cavitation was -let alone, heard of the term “Neuralgia Inducing Cavitational Osteonecrosis” (NICO, for short). But the world of electrodermal screening (otherwise known as “Electrical acupuncture according to Voll or EAV), which I have written about in previous columns, has given me new insights into the causes and cures of illness.
Fibromyalgia
FIBROMYALGIA About 200 years ago, the term ‘muscular rheumatism’ was coined in Scotland for a poorly understood illness that resulted in poor sleep, fatigue, stiffness, aches and pains, and tender spots sensitive to touch.1
Half a century later in this country, the term ‘neurasthenia’ came into vogue for pretty much the same group of symptoms but was associated with the mental and emotional disturbances associated with the stresses of modern life. Twenty years later, another name, ‘fibrositis’ – meaning ‘inflamed fibers’ - was created to describe pretty much the same disorder.
Homeopathy & Toxicology
Historically, the field of homeopathy has been rife with internal divisions based on philosophical differences that date back to the time it was first disseminated in the medical community of early nineteenth century Europe. While these differences have lead to a plethora of various school of thought and practice, there is one major fault line that divides homeopathic practice and practitioners into two major camps. On the one side is what is generally know as “classical” or “constitutional” homeopathy; on the other is virtually everyone else. What makes a practitioner a classical or constitutional homeopath is the belief that each individual is best served by the administration of a single homeopathic remedy that is carefully chosen to match the nature of that person. To reiterate this with other words, a remedy is selected that “resonates with” the characteristic “vital energy” of that person.
Mercury Amalgams
My first awareness of controversy surrounding the use of dental amalgam fillings arose in the mid-1980s on viewing a short ‘before and after’ video clip of a young girl who had suffered from epilepsy. She couldn’t have been more than 8 years old and for a number of years had experienced seizures every 10 minutes of her life that were uncontrollable by medication. Of course, the punch line is that immediately after the removal of the one amalgam filling placed in her mouth years before, the seizures stopped completely, never to return.
The Dirt on Dirty Electricity
Up until recently, the term ‘Dirty Electricity” evoked in me images of the smoke stacks from coal fired power plants, open pit mines and mazes of huge erector-set like structures stringing power lines across the countryside. But the overt pollution of air, water and land resulting from the generation of electricity is only one meaning of the term. The other meaning of ‘Dirty Electricity’, though, specifically refers to one type of electromagnetic frequency called ‘high-frequency voltage transients’. A less visible is a form of pollution that does not appear on the agenda of the environmental movement hardly at all, it may turn out to be just as significant a form of pollution.
